Gutter Cleaning — Wrexham Road, Windsor

A roof sheet should overhang the gutter by enough to throw water into it, and no more. Here it runs out far enough to close the channel over almost completely. Debris still gets in, blown under the lip, but nothing can be seen from a ladder and nothing lifted straight out. Once it is full underneath, there is no visible warning.

The work went slowly because every section had to be reached under the overhang rather than from above. Debris was drawn out through the gap instead of scooped, and each length checked by flow rather than by eye. The overhang is a roofing defect, not something a cleaner should modify — that is a roof plumber's job. It was photographed and reported.
