Ihor has worked on ropes since 2013, starting on high-rise facades in Kyiv, where he founded and still runs the rope-access company Альпіністи Київ. He holds IRATA Level 3 — the highest grade in the international rope-access system, covering work supervision, safety planning and rescue.
In 2022 he moved into rope access in Melbourne — first with Skyland Solutions, then founding WaterCrew to do exterior work his way: fixed quotes, the same faces on every visit, and nobody sent up a building without the training to be there.
He still quotes anything unusual himself — heritage render, awkward access, two-storey homes where the only way to the gutter is over the edge. If a job can't be done safely for the money, he says so.
