Why WaterCrew

Why building managers hand us the keys

Ladders, ropes and someone on your property. Here is what stands behind the local window cleaning company that turns up.

Insured

Public liability cover of $20M, and we send the certificate before the booking if you want it.

IRATA certified

Every technician on a high-rise job is IRATA certified, and there is always a Level 3 on site. That is a ticket you can verify.

Melbourne local

Founded here in 2023. Not a franchise, and not a lead agency passing your job to whoever answers first.

Photos on every job

Before-and-after shots sent to your WhatsApp the same day, so you can check the result yourself.

Window cleaning questions we get asked

What is the difference between the four window services?+

The glass is the same; the access is not. A house is pole and ladder work, an office is booked by the half day, a tower needs rope access, and a new build needs cement and glue taken off without scratching.

Do you clean the inside of the glass as well?+

Yes, on houses and offices. Outside only is cheaper and is what most people book. Say which you want when you ask for the quote and the price will reflect it.

Do you clean frames, sills and screens too?+

Yes, on residential work that is part of the job rather than an extra. Screens come out, get washed and go back. Tell us if any are damaged before we start.

How do you work out the price for a window job?+

On access and how long it takes, not on a per-pane rate. For straightforward homes we measure from imagery and plans; for buildings we come and look first.

Are your technicians insured and police-checked?+

Yes. $20M public liability, WorkSafe compliant, and every technician is police-checked before setting foot on a property. We can send the paperwork before the booking.

Window care guide

Access decides the price, not the glass count

People ask for a per-window rate, then find two houses with the same glass count quote differently. Window cleaning cost comes down to reaching the panes safely. Ground-floor glass is quick. A stairwell window over a paved courtyard needs a different setup, and a tower needs two people on ropes. That is the pricing model in one line.

What actually sits on your glass

Three things, and they come off differently. Airborne dust binds with rain into a film that a dry cloth just moves around. Closer to the bay, salt carried on the wind leaves a haze that returns faster than inland. And hard-water spotting from sprinklers and runoff leaves mineral marks that need dwell time rather than force.

Booking windows with the rest of the exterior

Glass is the last thing you clean. Anything washed above it, roof, gutters or render, runs dirt straight down over the panes, so windows done first end up done twice. If you are booking more than one job on the property, put the glass at the end of the running order and it comes out right the first time.

How to choose a window cleaner

Ask three things. Whether the window cleaning company carries public liability cover, and for how much, because glass breaks and ladders mark render. Whether the price is fixed before the work or worked out afterwards. And who actually attends, since a local window cleaning outfit sends the same people twice, while a lead agency sells your job on to whoever answers first.
