Post-Construction Window Cleaning — Kaniva Court, Bentleigh East

A new build leaves three problems on the glass at once. Adhesive from protective film and factory labels, which hardens in the sun the longer it sits. Fine construction dust, which is abrasive rather than loose. And grit packed into the sliding channels, where nobody looks until a door stops running properly.

Adhesive and labels came off first, because everything else has to be worked around them. New glass scratches easily and the coating on some panes will not survive the wrong blade angle, so residue is softened and lifted rather than scraped dry. Frames and sliding channels were cleared after the glass, and the channels flushed so the grit was not left to grind the rollers.
